
Anna Coutinho is a communication designer and social media manager with over 13 years of experience developing strategic communication for companies, institutions, and museums. She holds a PhD in Communication Science focused on Communication Strategies for European Elections Campaigns (2024) from Lusófona University (Lisbon, Portugal). Anna also completed a Master’s in Graphic Design and Editorial Projects (2015) at the University of Porto.
Since 2010, Anna has specialized in communication design, managing social media for various organizations and playing a key role in organizing congresses, events, and campaigns to engage specific audiences and strengthen brand presence. In 2019, she joined the Lusófona University team as a pedagogical coordinator and communication designer for the Film and Media Arts Department. She also serves as the editorial manager of the International Journal of Film and Media Arts, a Q2 Scopus-indexed scientific journal focused on Media Arts.
In addition to her academic work, Anna has been involved in international collaboration. She has been part of the FilmEU team since 2020, contributing as a communication manager to projects involving international schools and implementing strategic communication, dissemination, and event management across the European University for Film and Media Arts alliance.
From 2020 to 2021, Anna served as a Communication & Social Media Consultant for the North American NGO Empowerment Through Integration (ETI), where she helped promote social inclusion and empowerment through strategic communication.
Her key skills include strategic communication, social media management, event organization, editorial project management, and international cooperation. Anna is proficient in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and social media platforms and has a strong understanding of digital marketing and content creation.
