Soraya Vasconcelos

(B.1977) visual artist, teacher, researcher.
My references come from a variety of places: fiction and science, alchemy, philosophy, colour history, food culture, etc. Things, both conceptual and formal are gathered and appropriated, leading to art and experimentation influencing my research and teaching. Sense-making, the creative process and artistic research are my main academic inquiries. I teach various subjects in the Photography BA/MA at Universidade Lusófona.
