Sophie Quin

Sophie Quin is a research assistant for WIRE and FilmEU at IADT.
She completed a BA Hons in Animation. She then pursued a Master of Arts by Research at IADT, collecting a critical history of a small Irish animation studio using archival sources and was supported by the Irish Research Council under the Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Programme 2021. Her personal research interests include the history of the European and Irish animation industry, the non-human animal on screen, children’s television, and the use of archives and personal collections to better understand filmmaking practices.
