Michael Connerty teaches film and animation history at Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology, where he is the Chair of the Animation MA. He also teaches on the FilmEU FilmMemory MA programme. He has written numerous articles and contributed to edited collections on animation and comics history and is on the editorial board of the journal Studies in Comics. His book on early British comics, and the contribution made by the Irish painter Jack B. Yeats, The Comic Strip Art of Jack B. Yeats, was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2021. Current research interests include nineteenth century Panoramas in Dublin, as part of the Centre of Excellence in Immersive Media Heritage (IMHerit).
