Mar Canet Sola

Mar Canet Sola is a PhD candidate in Baltic Film, Media, Arts, and Communication (BFM) at Tallinn University and a research fellow at the Cudan Open Lab (http://cudan.tlu.ee). His doctoral research, titled "Opening a Toolbox of Artistic Strategies using Generative AI," explores how artists incorporate deep learning technologies into their creative practices through the framework of artistic research in media art. Since 2009, Mar has been collaborating with Varvara Guljajeva as part of the artist duo Varvara & Mar (http://var-mar.info/). Together, they produce innovative and thought-provoking artworks that critically explore the societal impacts of technology.
