Lawrence Agbetsise

Lawrence is an independent filmmaker and researcher from Ghana. He is a graduate of the Erasmus mundus joint Master in film (Kinoeyes program) and an artistic research programme at Zurich university of the Arts (ZHdK) in the PEERS program. His artistic practice is essentially driven by curiosity and experimentation, and is grounded in explorative and activist work to analyze the ways film articulates time and space by placing the work and the viewer in a new relationship that promote alternative experience. He was invited to prestigious Film workshop and training programs like Durban Talents, Ouaga Film Lab, The DOK.network Africa Residency and IDFA Academy. He has worked on films that have been selected and won awards at film festivals worldwide. He has presented his papers in conferences and is currently obtaining a PhD in media arts and communication at Lusofona University.
