Judith Pernin

Judith Pernin’s background is in Chinese Studies and Film studies. She holds a Ph.D. in History and Civilization from the School of Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS, Paris) on Chinese independent documentaries (1990-2010). Based in Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan for over a decade, she has written extensively on documentary films, protests, and festivals from the region. She currently works as a Post-doctoral Researcher at the Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT, Dublin) on several research projects in the areas of the film industry (CresCine), XR storytelling and Irish Documentary film within WIRE and FILMEU.
