Greta Grinevičiūtė is a choreographer, performer, actress, and artistic researcher whose work explores the interplay between choreography and cinema. Her artistic practice moves across stage, screen, and interdisciplinary formats, focusing on the politics and poetics of the gaze, haptic visuality, and feminist approaches to representation.
She is currently pursuing an artistic PhD at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA) titled “The Interplay of Choreography and Cinema: Towards a Resonant Artistic Practice.” Through this research, she investigates how choreographic thinking can shape cinematic language and how collaborative, role-shifting processes generate new resonant forms of dance film.
Greta is a co-founder of the independent dance company BE COMPANY and a member of the LANDING Journal editorial collective. Her works have been presented in Lithuania and internationally, and her recent collaborations include the award-winning feature film Tu man nieko neprimeni (Slow) directed by M. Kavtaradzė, which received multiple international awards, including Best Direction at the Sundance Film Festival.
