Biography
Prof. Dr. Dr. Bénédicte Gendron, as former Vice-President of the University of Montpellier Paul-Valéry (UMPV), she also served as Co-Director of Continuing Higher Education and Head of PEPITE-LR (Student Innovation, Transfer, and Entrepreneurship) She holds two PhDs .She holds a Ph'D in Neuro-psychopathology-UMPV, and is certified in advanced training from Harvard Medical School Wellness & Lifestyle Medicine. She holds a PhD in Economics of Human Resources of Paris School of Economics (University Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne), completed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Education & Measurement at UC Berkeley, USA.
Her pioneering economics concept of Emotional Capital (2002) and research was awarded of Louis Cros Prize at the National French Academy (2006). Her work is on Capacitating Leadership (2015), and at developing the Bienvivance paradigm (2016), a regenerative philosophy and art of co-vivance focus on vitality, meaning and values, cultivating eudaimonic ‘Flowrishing’ (2025) across all living systems through emotional capital development and consciousness elevation. Mobilizing inner resources for outer regenerative transformation, potential and capabilities are converted through a capacitation process into competencies to act: Towards zero-waste of human resource potential, Inclusive Excellence and Regeneration. Rooted in and extending the transformative learning tradition, her research integrates emotional capital, capabilities, and systemic dimensions into what she conceptualizes as regenerative transformative learning. Her work has earned several distinctions (Cros, Elsevier, MGEN, AFPFSSU, ONISEP) and international fellowships (France-Berkeley funds, ASEM-DUO, Caux Initiatives of Change and Salzburg Global Seminar).
Certified as instructor in Emotional Quotient Inventory 2.0 Assessment, MBSR and ACT, and member of Goleman's CREIO since 2006, she serves as external expert for OECD, CERI, European Commission, CEDEFOP, UNESCO and other international, national scientific organizations, and on several editorial boards of scientific journals.
