CALL FOR PAPERS Vol. 12 No. 1 (2026) Film Education: ReMastered

This special issue of the International Journal of Film and Media Arts edited in partnership with CILECT - The International Association of Film and Media Schools, invites educators, researchers, filmmakers, and artists, particularly the ones coming from CILECT member schools and participating in the CILECT Congress 2026 to submit papers that deal with (but are not limited to) the topics of:

• The reimagining of the traditional Master to Mentor in creative arts education.
• Post-pandemic pedagogy: hybrid learning, co-creation, student agency
• Ethical teaching: AI, authorship, and creative responsibility
• Resilience and care: student and staff wellbeing and institutional culture
• The “masters” we serve: who defines excellence in contemporary film education?
• Professional pathways and life-long learning: connecting the academy and industry
