FILMIND team members David W. Novack and Maarten Coëgnarts have published new research in the latest issue of Projections: The Journal for Movies and Mind. Novack’s article, Sonic Meaning-Making in Film: An Artistic Inquiry into the Functions of Film Sound, explores the role of sound in cinematic storytelling, while Coëgnarts’ The Interaction of Color in Film examines the cognitive and aesthetic dimensions of color in film. Published in Projections, a leading journal at the intersection of film and cognitive sciences, these contributions reinforce FILMIND’s mission to advance artistic and scholarly inquiry into cinema’s sensory and cognitive impact.
