
Manuel José Damásio, Head of the Film and Media Arts Department at Lusófona University and Coordinator of FilmEU – The European University of Film and Media Arts, was one of the keynote speakers of the international conference “Impact of Artificial Intelligence of Copyright, Media and Creative Sectors” promoted by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland in the context of the Polish presidency EU2025, that took place on the 24th April in Lodz, Poland. Manuel José Damásio presented a keynote on ““The Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Copyright, Media and Creative Sectors: the case of film (in small European Markets)” and strongly argued for the need of a balance take on AI in the creative sectors that equally considers public policies and technological innovation, while fostering the use of open solutions that support an ethical and non-biased use of these disruptive technologies.
