FilmEU+ Buddy Programme: Experience Exchange and Joint Initiative Development between LMTA and IADT

-    Comments

On the 12th of May 2025, a FilmEU+ Buddy Programme visit took place at the Institute of Art, Design + Technology (IADT).

The Buddy Programme is an essential part of integrating new partners into the FilmEU Alliance. Under this initiative, a new member is paired with an experienced Alliance institution to ensure a smoother transition into joint activities. During the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA) onboarding process, IADT is supporting the Academy by sharing its expertise, offering methodological guidance, and providing consultation on key implementation issues.

During the visit, preparations for the launch of two new joint study programmes – Joint BA Pathfinder and Joint MA ReSound – were discussed. Representatives from IADT shared valuable insights from their experience in developing and delivering Microcredentials programmes. They also presented the digital learning tools used in their study process – Blackboard and Microsoft Teams – highlighting their practical advantages and applications.

Particular attention was given to the implementation of Work Package 5 "People", focusing on its pods: Talent, Agora, Market, FilmEU Inclusive, and Collegium. Discussions centred around ongoing activities, encountered challenges, and future plans within these areas.

FilmEU+ Buddy visits among Alliance members are not only an opportunity to learn from one another and enhance current practices, but also a foundation for developing joint initiatives for the future.
