EPIC-WE Portuguese researchers present in Aarhus, Denmark

The Researchers of the EPIC-WE Project, Hub Óbidos -Portugal, Filipe Luz, Wilson Almeida, Inês Nunes and Maria Gonçalves EPIC-WE, presented two academic articles at the 2024 European Conference on Games Based Learning (ECGBL), which took place between 2 and October 4, at Aarhus University, Denmark.
The aim of this ECGBL conference is to bring together academics, practitioners, game designers and anyone involved in game-based learning and serious games.
Entitled “What is “learning” in serious games? A Systematic Review of Literature”, the academic article presented by Maria Gonçalves, Inês Nunes, and co-authored by Pedro Gonçalves and Conceição Costa, addressed the conceptualizations and applications of learning in Serious Game Jams, focusing on cultural and social issues (https://papers.academic-conferences.org/index.php/ecgbl/article/view/2673).
In the same research line, Filipe Luz, Wilson Almeida, in co-authorship with Pedro Fernandes and Micaela Fonseca, presented the article “The Cultural Game Jam Model: A Quadruple Helix Intervention”, which explored the results of the EPIC-WE 1st Cultural Game Jam, held in Óbidos, in February 2024. 
The theme of both articles is aligned with the purpose of the EPIC-WE project, which focuses on developing new models and design kits for cultural collaboration, empowering young people's participation in the cultural world (https://papers.academic-conferences.org/index.php/ecgbl/article/view/2642).
