The connection between education and the industry is one of the fundamental pillars of the Film and Media Arts Department at Lusófona University. A remarkable example of this synergy is the work of professor and sound designer Elvis Veiguinha, who leads DMIX Collective, a company that stands out in the field of sound for film, television, and advertising.
With an impressive portfolio, DMIX Collective was responsible for the sound editing and mixing of the first season of the Netflix series Rabo de Peixe and has created the sonic identity of several television channels, including RTP1, RTP2, Canal 11, NOW, Sport TV, SIC, and SIC Notícias. Additionally, the company has collaborated on advertising campaigns for renowned brands such as Turismo de Portugal, Red Bull, and Warner Music.
DMIX Collective, launched with an investment of half a million euros and international ambitions, is currently preparing new series for RTP, SIC, and TVI. This project highlights Lusófona University's role in training highly skilled professionals and its active connection to the job market.
