FilmEU Inc. is a new initiative within the FilmEU Plus club cosmos. It aims to build a sustainable, international student-led community where filmmakers of all levels (students, alumni, and professionals) can connect, share ideas, and collaborate on international film productions.
The project is currently in its research phase, led by LUCA School of Arts (Belgium), aiming to identify the barriers that prevent and/ or limit international film collaboration and co-productions. The findings will form the foundation for the community, which will be built specifically tailored to the needs of our students, alumni and professionals.
What are we looking for?
A research partner from within the FilmEU network (faculty, researcher, Master’s or PhD candidate) to collaborate on the research phase of FilmEU Inc.
The ideal partner has:
- Experience in social or educational research, preferably within creative and/ or cultural industries.
- Interest in topics such as international collaboration, networking, and creative ecosystems.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
- Affiliation with FilmEU or one of its partner institutions.
Main tasks:
- Co-develop the research plan and methodology. (surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.)
- Ensure academic and ethical standards for data collection and analysis.
- Lead the data analysis and report writing process.
- Collaborate with the project manager (Milan Moody, LUCA) for validation and final presentation.
Workload and timeline:
- Duration: January 2025 – April 2026
- Estimated workload: ~110 – 120 hours total.
- Work method: Online and asynchronous, with occasional meetings.
Deliverable:
- Final research report & Executive summary
