-    Comments

Europe has no shortage of talent, ideas, or artistic flair—so why is it still lagging behind in the global creative industries? Enter AVENUE, a bold new initiative designed to change that.

Launched in February 2025 and funded by Erasmus+ with a €5 million budget, AVENUE (Audiovisual Education and Training Network for European Vocational Excellence) is a four-year collaboration between top creative institutions, industry leaders, and regional hubs across Europe.

What’s the Goal?

Featuring FilmEU alliance partners, Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Ireland and VIA University College, Denmark, AVENUE is all about building stronger bridges between education and the creative industry.

It focuses on upskilling professionals and students with future-ready digital skills while fostering collaboration between five key creative hubs in Europe.

It also aims on making training innovative, international and accessible to all.

The European educational institutions leading the charge are:

· The Animation Workshop, Viborg, Denmark

· Politecnico di Torino, Torino, Italy

· ENJMIN / CNAM, Angoulême, France

· National Film School, Dublin, Ireland

· Breda University of Applied Sciences, Breda, Netherlands

What’s on Offer?

AVENUE offers both online and onsite training, with formats designed to be flexible and cutting-edge.

Online modules, mentorship, podcasts, and peer learning will accompany innovation labs, short skill bursts, residencies, and blended learning.

Professional development for educators will also be offered from industry powerhouses such as Ubisoft Paris, Studio Meala, and Iron Films.
